KOB "Pattern constructions" for children

This is the third edition of KOB Pattern constructions for children and was recently released by the publisher of Rundschau.

The book "KOB - Pattern constructions" for babies, girls & boys" begins with instructions on how to take measurements correctly and calculate the measurements for babies, girls and boys, supplemented by size tables (babies size 44 - 86, girls and boys size 86 - 182). It also covers comfort allowances and the abbreviations and symbols used. The core of the book is the detailed basic and model patterns, such as trousers, dresses, blouses, skirts, shirts, vests, jackets, tailcoats, dungarees and much more for babies, girls and boys. Each basic pattern is assigned measurements and their calculations.

Small but beautiful - that's how it should be: high-quality children's clothing. The proportions of a child's body differ significantly from those of adults and change continuously as they grow. As a child grows, not only the ratio of head to body changes, but also the middle of the body. The head becomes smaller in relation to the body, while the legs become longer. These changes must be taken into account in order to ensure that clothing for babies and children fits perfectly.

The pattern designs are shown on a scale of 1:6 and can easily be transferred to paper in their original size. They can then be sewn from fabric as a test to ensure an optimal fit.
